Dress Code: All players must adhere to the following Meadowbrook Club dress code.  No blue jeans or blue jean shorts.  Shirts must have a collar or a fashion collar.  No T-shirts, tank tops or halter tops.  Shorts must be Bermuda length and no short shorts!   Only soft-spiked golf shoes allowed.

All food and drink consumed on the course must be purchased from Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club.

The tournament will be cancelled if 120 players do not participate.

SOCIAL HOUR & DINNER: Curé of Ars Parish Hall.  Social Hour from 6:30pm – 7:30pm (Cash Bar).  Dinner 7:30pm.

Cost for Non-golfers: $22 which includes dinner and door prizes.

Dinner catered by McGonigle’s

Players and Dinner guests must be 18 years of age or older.  Players and guests must be present to win door prizes.

“The ‘door of faith’ (Acts 14:27) is always open for us, ushering us into the life of communion with God and offering entry into his Church. It is possible to cross that threshold when the word of God is proclaimed and the heart allows itself to be shaped by transforming grace” (Pope Benedict XVI, The Door of Faith, 1).

In announcing the Year of Faith, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI invites all believers to join this happy occasion and rediscover the journey of faith. This website will help you prepare to help those God has trusted to our care on that lifelong journey. We have named our journey “Faith: Love It, Learn It, Live It” and we are seeking to accomplish three things:

  • Develop daily patterns of prayer
  • Understand what we believe and the richness of the gift of faith
  • Demonstrate our faith by putting love into action

SHAPED BY GRACE

“Faith: Love It, Learn It, Live It” will invigorate parish life and enliven the faith of our people. We must be ready to take time to learn about our faith, to boldly live our faith, and to deepen our love for the faith. Pope Benedict is clear in his letter: “We cannot accept that salt should become tasteless or the light be kept hidden” (Mt. 5:13-16). Only the Spirit of God can change hearts. The Faith Initiative is designed to open, touch, heal and excite our hearts so that we may be shaped by grace.

A YEAR OF FAITH

The Faith Initiative will open in parishes on the weekend of September 15-16, 2012, as we seek God’s blessings on our efforts to invigorate parishes and enliven parishioners.

Each Sunday we profess, “I believe!” We are, by our presence, professing a desire to an authentic search for a definitive truth in our lives. Baptism has given us a permanent summons, indelibly written on our hearts, to find the One who is seeking us.
